2WBMG1M At Kennedy Space Center’s Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility, technicians from the Applied Physics Laboratory install side panels on the New Horizons spacecraft. The mission will perform the first reconnaissance of Pluto and its moon Charon, mapping surface features and analyzing atmospheric and surface compositions, including methane frost, using ultraviolet and near-infrared instruments.
