The casts of the victims of the eruption in 79 AD in restoring in the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, Italy (2015). For the first time restorers are working on 86 of the carefully preserved plaster casts. Victims have been entombed in ash and now plaster for 1,900 years. An eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 buried Pompeii under volcanic ash and rock. Pompeii is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Italy.
