Head and shoulders portrait of William Boyd, 4th Earl of Kilmarnock (1704-46)William Boyd was a Scottish nobleman who joined the Jacobite forces of Charles Edward Stuart the Young Pretender. He was captured at the Battle of Culloden in April 1746 and taken to the Tower of London for trial. He was found guilty of High Treason and executed on Tower Hill on 18 August 1746.
