Michael Chakma, an Indigenous rights activist who went â??missingâ? after being snatched off the streets near his home in April 2019, said he endured mental and physical torture during his captivity in spaces so confined it felt like â??a graveâ?, in a clandestine prison allegedly operated by the military intelligence directorate (DGFI). He was among three political prisoners released after the student protests. Michael Chakma has filed a complaint with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), accusing former prime minister Sheikh Hasina of his enforced disappearance.
