Descrição:	Water industry. Flocculation and settling stage for purifying drinking water at a waterworks. This circular basin, one of several in use, uses flow control technology to promote flocculation (where small particles clump together and float to the surface) and settling (where sediment and other fine particles settle out of solution). The purified water is then passed on to the next stage of the process. This clarifier unit uses Cyclofloc technology. Photographed at a waterworks operated by SMAT, the metropolitan water company of Turin, Italy.
