Descrição:	Maxwell Montes, Venus. Computer-generated perspective view looking east toward the Maxwell Montes range on Venus. Maxwell Montes (just above centre) is the tallest mountain range on Venus, reaching 11km above the mean planetary radius, and lies on the eastern edge of the northern hemisphere 'continent' Ishtar Terra. The data for this image were gathered by the Magellan radar-mapping spacecraft. This view has been coloured to reflect the basaltic rocks of the surface. The clouds, mist and atmospheric haze are computer generated.
