| Descrição: | Georg Simon Ohm (1787-1854), German physicist. Ohm worked on the relationship between electrical current and potential difference. In 1827 he showed that current flow is proportional to the potential difference and inversely proportional to the resistance of an electrical conductor. This relationship is known as Ohm's law. The unit of resistance, the ohm, was named in his honour. |
