Gabbro is coarse-grained, containing the minerals olivine and plagioclase feldspar. Olivine is recognised here by its irregular shaped crystals, with randomly oriented fractures. Plagioclase feldspar forms lath- shaped crystals. Horizontal object size 1.2 mm. |
