| Descrição: | Cupola ISS module. Artwork of the Cupola viewing module of the International Space Station (ISS), mounted on the Node-3 module. This viewing structure is designed to provide ISS crew (one seen) with panoramic views of both the exterior of the ISS and of the Earth below. The window covers have been opened here. The Cupola module was launched in February 2010 and was one of the last components to be added to the space station. The ISS, which orbits some 330 kilometres above the Earth, has been continuously inhabited since November 2000. It is expected to remain operational until at least 2020. |
