Descrição:	The Heffelfinger Fountain was installed in 1947 in the Lyndale Park Rose Garden, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 16th century fountain was originally designed and built at the Villa Montalto in Fiesole, Italy for Pope Sixtus V. In the nineteenth century, the villa was largely demolished and replaced by a railway station. It was in the early 1920s that Frank Totten Heffelfinger purchased the fountain from the Villa. Heffelfinger later donated the treasure to the Minneapolis Board of Park Commissioners in 1944. Its style is based on 16th century Florentine sculpture. The basins are marble, the figures are bronze, and the subjects refer to Greco-Roman mythology. The central cherubic angel rides a dolphin-like sea creature. Young cherubic figures with hooves are sitting on the edge of the upper basin, while the lower base features winged satyrs (mythic woodland deities, part human and part goat).
